Frequently Asked Questions
Who can play paintball?
You must be at least 10 years old to play paintball and at least 6 to play Splatmaster paintball.
A parent or guardian must sign release of liability forms if you are under 18 years of age. You can download this form and the field safety rules on-line. This form must be signed before a player is permitted to enter any of the paintball fields.
Is paintball safe?
Like any other activity or sport, there is always the potential for injury. However, standard safety rules and the proper use of industry developed and approved safety equipment have made paintball one of the safest participatory sports.
When on the field, players must ALWAYS wear protective mask, which are part of a special mask that protects the eyes and face. When not on the field, barrel covers are required over the barrel of the paintball gun/marker for protection in case of a miss-fire.
Safety is highly stressed on our fields with orientations given at the beginning of each session and Referees (staff members) on hand to oversee the players. Our fields limit the velocity of a fired paintball to be no more than 280 feet per second. Anyone found disobeying the safety rules will be ejected for the day.
If the infraction is of an extremely serious nature, the player may be asked not to return.
Does it hurt to get hit?
It may sting if shot at close range, however, we do not allow shooting at a range closer than 20 feet. If players are facing off within that range, they are given the option to surrender or die; if they do not surrender, they may be fired upon within a range no closer than the 5 feet.
What should I bring?
We recommend long pants, shirts with sleeves, and high-top sneakers or boots. We will supply you with all of the equipment you need to play the entire day.
Can I bring my own Paintball Gun/Mask/Paintballs?
You may bring your own equipment, however, we do not allow full auto or burst modes. Guns entering the field will be chronographed (speed tested) and may be spot checked at any time if a complaint is lodged or at the Referees (staff member’s) discretion.
You may bring your own mask, however, the must be ASTM approved and manufactured specifically for paintball and they must have a full-face mask and ear protection.
Only field paint will be allowed.
Can I bring my own food?
Absolutely. You are free to bring in your own food or drinks and coolers. We only ask that you don’t bring any glass containers or alcohol. We also have snacks for sale in case you need anything.
Can I bring alcohol?
Guns and alcohol are never a good combination. We do not allow alcohol at this field.
Does it wash out?
Yes. Our paintballs are biodegradable gelatin filled capsules. They will wash out of your clothes, but we do recommend bringing a sheet to put on your car seats to avoid the hassle of having to clean up a mess in the car.
